TOM DALY, PILOT OPPOSING SOLO

Tom Daly was born and raised in Queens and now resides in Garden City, New York. After graduating from Floral Park High School he followed his dream to fly and entered Dowling College of Aeronautics in New York. Tom was in the first graduating class in 1971.

Before retiring in 2006, Tom spent 33 years as a service and rescue helicopter pilot for the Long Island Police Department. Tom now enjoys his time flying with the GEICO Skytypers as well as owning and operating Old Time Aviation Air Shows, Inc., in Garden City, New York.

Tom recently stated that he would someday like to fly a Fokker Tri-plane DR-1 and a British Sop with Camel scout bi-plane.
